Morning drive to Lake Mburo National park with a stopover at the Equator crossing line in Masaka, arriving in the afternoon ready for your lunch, a peaceful and exclusive retreat in Lake Mburo National Park. After breakfast, head for Horse riding which is an awesome way to see the wildlife around the park for 2 hours. Without the noise of an engine you can hear so much more and you really feel part of nature. Riding a horse means you often get the chance to see more timid animals including Elands, buffalos, warthog, topi, impala, duiker, bushbuck, waterbuck, zebra as the animals graze where the grass is the most delicious and if you are lucky enough, you can see 2 leopards on a horse ride! However, this was a very rare sighting. Watching animals from a horse is so peaceful and a totally different experience from being on a game drive; zebras come towards you to check out the strange relative without stripes. Even the eland that are usually very shy, look curiously at the horses without running away, but keep their distance. After lunch, drive to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a village walk. The Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The Walk begins with your guide at your lodge and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways. After breakfast, you will be driven to Kihihi airstrip by our driver guide to catch up with your morning flight at 0945 arriving Entebbe airport 1125 so that you can catch up with your flight Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport aboard afternoon flight. Our representative who will be holding a paging board bearing your family name will meet you outside the international arrivals area and assist you to your private vehicle followed by transfer to your hotel which is located in the calm outskirts of Arusha city. You will be assisted with check in formalities followed by pre-safari briefing. Breakfast will be served at your lodge. Board your safari jeep, and with picnic lunch boxes descend down the steep walls of the caldera for game drives along the Ngorongoro Crater Floor. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 180 km west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area, is recognized as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands and forests. Established in 1959 as a multiple land use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera. The property has global importance for biodiversity conservation due to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and other animals into the northern plains. Extensive archaeological research has also yielded a long sequence of evidence of human evolution and human-environment dynamics, including early hominid footprints dating back 3.6 million years. Several animal and bird species are found here. Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Black Rhinos, Cheetahs, spotted hyenas, Impalas, Gazelles and others may be spotted here. Ascend back to your lodge in the late afternoon with the rest of the day spent relaxing on the Ngorongoro Highlands from the comfort of your lodge. Early Breakfast will be served at your lodge. Check out and transfer by road to Manyara airstrip for your scheduled flight to Serengeti departing at 0840 hrs. Arrival at the local airstrip in Serengeti will be at around 1030 hrs where you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Check in followed by lunch. This afternoon, you will enjoy your first game drive in Serengeti National Park, as you begin the Serengeti BIG 5 safari experience trying your luck in spotting and identifying as many animals and birds with the help of your expert guide. Full days spent in Serengeti enjoying game viewing activities in the seemingly endless Serengeti Plains as per your arrangement with your guide. You may agree on game drives at 0630 and 1600 hrs respectively with the rest of the time spent at your luxury lodge, or a near full day of game viewing in the park with packed lunch. (This day, you can also enjoy an early morning Hot Air Balloon Safari over the seemingly endless Serengeti plains, offering you a rare opportunity to view the Serengeti beautiful landscape and wildlife from an eagle’s perspective. Serengeti derived from the name “Siringet” which means endless plains in Masai Language hosts the Great Plains where the endless streams of wildebeest and zebra pour south towards Ngorongoro or north towards the Masai Mara during their annual migration. The park is home to the BIG 5 and other species including Hyenas, Cheetahs, Caracals, Serval Cats and several bovine species.
