Ngorongoro Crater was formed over two million years ago when a massive volcano, possibly larger than Mount Kilimanjaro, erupted and collapsed on itself, creating a caldera or crater. This caldera spans approximately 100 square miles (260 square kilometers) and is one of the largest unbroken calderas in the world.Breathtaking Scenery: The Ngorongoro Crater offers breathtaking scenery, with steep crater walls rising over 2,000 feet (600 meters) from the crater floor. At the bottom, you'll find a wide variety of habitats, including grasslands, swamps, forests, and a central soda lake known as Lake Magadi.Ngorongoro Crater is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife. It's often referred to as an "African Eden" because it supports a thriving population of animals, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and numerous antelope species. Arrival in Serengeti CentralMorning: Arrive at Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti Central via a domestic flight from Arusha or another nearby city. Begin your first game drive upon arrival, exploring the central region of the Serengeti. Evening: Check into your chosen accommodation, which could be a luxurious safari lodge or a tented camp, and enjoy dinner. Day 2: Full Day in Central SerengetiSpend a full day exploring the central Serengeti, which is known for its resident wildlife and year-round game viewing. Look for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and a wide variety of antelope species. Picnic lunch in the park to maximize your time for wildlife viewing. Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation. Day 3: Serengeti Central to Serengeti NorthMorning: Depart from central Serengeti and head north toward the Kogatende region. As you drive, enjoy a game drive through the changing landscapes of the Serengeti. Afternoon: Arrive in the northern Serengeti, where you'll be positioned to witness the Great Migration river crossings (usually occurring between July and September). Check into your chosen accommodation in the northern Serengeti and have dinner. Day 4: Full Day in Northern SerengetiSpend a full day exploring the northern Serengeti, focusing on witnessing the Great Migration if it's the right season. Witness the dramatic river crossings, where wildebeests and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. Keep an eye out for predators like lions and crocodiles taking advantage of this migration spectacle. Return to your accommodation for dinner. Day 5: Northern Serengeti to DepartureMorning: Enjoy a final game drive in the northern Serengeti, making the most of your last moments in this wildlife-rich region. After breakfast, begin your journey back to the Kogatende Airstrip for a domestic flight to Arusha or your next destinatio
